Kel Sykes – Nice & Slow (Audio)

“Nice & Slow” by Kel Sykes is a pop-influenced dance hall song that captures a listener’s attention from the start. Sykes rap/sings over a mysterious yet infectious African beat, and seamlessly switches from English to Akan, a Ghanaian dialect in some parts of the song.

This groovy song has a very summer feel to it! In fact, its catchy hook should have you dancing by the end of the song. In the lyrics of the song, Sykes proclaims love for a significant other, and is on a mission to slow dance with her during the warm summer days and nights. The song is definitely unlike anything you’ve ever heard before, but the reality is that in 2018, different genres of music are finally crossing over to America due to the prevalence of social media. If Black Panther’s Wakanda were a real country, “Nice & Slow” by Kel Sykes would probably be the most played song on the radio there.
