Hippie Kalen – Gotta Reason

Fresh off the release of his summer scorcher “Scared of Nothing,” emerging rapper-songwriter Hippie Kalen unveils his latest vibe “Gotta Reason”. The chill track is an audio representation of Hippie’s laidback persona and also showcases his undeniable flow and lyricism. His upcoming album Get Hipp, drops this Fall featuring all new tracks penned by Hippie. The project touches on his inner most thoughts as a 24-year old survivor and advocate for the voiceless generation.

Born in Southfield, MI, Hippie Kalen has lived all over metro-Detroit. As a fan of music, the performing arts, and having an insatiable thirst for wisdom, he’s grown into a creative force. As a young man he has overcame bullying, sexual assault and homelessness. Hippie’s music is driven by individuality, faith, self- reflection and life struggles. A self-described outsider, Kalen’s name is derived from his free flowing attitude, “I am just here to spread love to everyone and to be an inspiration for people who may be afraid to be themselves.”
