IR: Let’s get to know a little bit more about you and how you grew up. So where do you consider hometown and what type of kid were you growing up?
LC: Harlem FL., aka Muck city. Hardheaded, arrogantly witty but an all-around cool guy. I would consider myself goofy yet also funny.
IR: How old were you when you developed an interest in music?
LC: 12 or 13
IR: What was the first album you ever listened to? Can you remember back that far?
LC: Juvenile 400 degrees, it was my mom favorite album at the time.
IR: When and how did you begin your journey in the world of music?
LC: Around 2007 or 8, I was engaged at the time. My then fiancé asked me what I wanted for my Birthday, I said a studio and she bought it. That’s how I started my journey.
IR: What influences shaped your musical style?
LC: My dad was a major influence at one point in time. But my family, friends, and the great music that’s out today kind of shaped my flow and influenced my sound.
IR: How would you describe your sound to someone who has never heard it before?
LC: MY sound is raw, crunk, and unpredictable. Catchy flows and commercial. I have a lot of different sounds and plan on keeping it fresh every song.
IR: Do you write a lot by yourself or do you have a partner or a group of people you work with?
LC: I write the majority of my music. I write with inspiring writers from time to time for a broader sound and vocabulary.
IR: What is your main goal at this point?
LC: My main goal is to stay focused, work hard, stay humble – in the studio along with building my brand Lucas Cash.
IR: Have you learned any lessons so far and if so, what are they?
LC: Don’t trust anyone, keep my circle small, and know the game. Loyalty over EVERTHING.
IR: Are there any artists you wish to work with in the future?
